About Us - Meet the Family Behind Three Bears Emporium
Hi, we're Gabriella and Ahmad — and together with our daughter, we're the small family team behind every gift box that leaves our home in the Tyne and Wear countryside.
We're not a warehouse. We're not a call centre. We're a kitchen table, a stack of tissue paper, and a family who genuinely cares whether your gift arrives feeling special.
How It Started
Three Bears Emporium began in 2020, almost by accident. I'd spent a long time looking for the right thing to sell online, and then I came across some beautiful bath and body products — the kind of quality you don't stumble across every day. But selling them on their own didn't feel right. They needed a story, a moment, a reason to be given. So I started presenting them as gift boxes instead, and that one idea became a business.
At the time, I was living in Austria running a chalet, but I knew I wanted something of my own. My dad, Andrew, believed in the idea enough to pack and fulfil every single order while I worked on building the business from behind the scenes. In 2022, I moved back to the UK to run things full time. For a while it was the three of us — me, Andrew, and my husband Ahmad — until mid-2023, when Ahmad and I took the reins together. In 2024, we welcomed our daughter into the world, and into the business too. These days, the three of us design, prepare and pack every gift box as a team.
Where "Three Bears" Comes From
The name isn't just a nice-sounding phrase — it's a piece of family history. Growing up, my two siblings and I were known as "the Three Bears," and my parents have used the name for family businesses for the past 30 years. When it came time to name mine, there was really only ever going to be one choice.

We handpick products you won't find lined up on the high street or bundled by every other gift box company out there, choosing quality over the obvious choice wherever we can, and cruelty-free and vegan-friendly items whenever possible. Every box is recyclable and made to be reused, not binned the moment it's opened.
But more than that — we want you to feel it. Whether you're sending a gift across the country to someone you miss, marking a milestone, or simply saying "I was thinking of you," we treat every single order as if it were going to someone we love. Because increasingly, it is: this business exists so our little family can build the life we want, and we don't take that for granted.
